It's very good--damage is excellent if you have high int, it's often applied against the enemy's weakest defense, the moveset is the usual excellent greatsword moveset, and the beam attack is a nice bonus. However, I still think it's a little overrated, at least for PvE, because it kind of sits a little awkwardly in a build.

Moonlight great sword is a faith based weapon in this game. If you still want to use magic as well, I would look into Talisman of Beasts. As mentioned above, Lava Bow is great if you decide to focus on faith. I also like to add Ajudicator's Shield and Regenerator's Ring on similar builds. 3.
