Process goes like this: safety check, field strip, removing slide from receiver. Turn slide upside down, and get ready to remove the recoil spring/barrel for cleaning, and notice that it is not seated in the half crescent where I KNOW it should be.This also caused light, off center primer strikes and a misfire. I have done research on this specific issues and other people have had the exact same issues, multiple YouTube videos showing my exact issue. One possible reason this could be happening is the incorrect placement of the spring on the firing pin safety plunger.

Shot 4 magazines without issue, but at the end of the 5th magazine the slide failed to lock open.
